An open initiative for entity-centered information systems.
Entity Core exists to define how organizations preserve, govern, and improve their operating memory in the age of AI agents.
The future organization will not only use AI. It will become more legible, governable, and self-improving through the way its information is structured. Entity Core is a step toward that foundation.
The initiative develops the frameworks, reference architecture, terminology, and implementation patterns for durable entity memory — usable by both humans and AI agents.
Open, early, and worth following.
Initial public framework and site.
Framework, terminology, and patterns are open.
Contributors, pilots, and reviewers welcome.
Roots, openly declared.
Entity Core was created by Valto Loikkanen. EIOS originated as a sibling framework to PIOS, the Personal Information Operating System, and inherits architectural principles and terminology from it with attribution. The frameworks evolve independently — no compatibility between them is implied or maintained.
Everything is developed openly at github.com/entity-core. Specifications and documentation are licensed CC BY 4.0; reference code and tooling are Apache-2.0.
